    Since 1895, the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture has represented the interests of Nova Scotia’s agricultural community. Today its members account for well over 90% of all agricultural production in Nova Scotia. With an organizational structure that includes representation from 13 county and regional federations and 27 recognized agricultural commodity groups, the Federation brings together over 2400 individual farm businesses representing all aspects of primary agriculture in the province.  Read More

    The mandate of Nova Scotia Cattle Producers is to promote and assist in the sustainable development of Nova Scotia’s beef production industry in the best interest of the members, and ultimately all Nova Scotians.

  • Canadian Angus Association
    The Canadian Angus Association is Canada’s largest purebred beef breed organization. The Association represents members across Canada for the purposes of registering and recording the pedigrees of purebred Angus cattle in the closed Herd Book and promoting the breed across Canada. The member-approved mandate is to maintain breed registry, breed purity and provide services that enhance the growth and position of the Angus breed.
  • Maritime Angus Association
    The Maritime Angus Association represents the interest of Angus breeders in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
  • Beef Cattle Research Council (BCRC)
    The Beef Cattle Research Council is Canada’s national industry-led funding agency for beef, cattle and forage research. The BCRC is funded through a portion of a producer-paid national levy as well as government and industry funding, and is directed by a committee of beef producers from across the country.
